Wrangler Advert- 1982!!

History Time... 20-year-old C.C. Hudson leaves Spring Hill Farm in Williamson county, Tennessee, and makes his way to North Carolina, seeking his fortune in the emerging textile industry. He finds work in a factory making overalls, where he earns 25 cents a day sewing on buttons... 1897
Hudson's workplace closes. He and a few others buy several of the sewing machines, lease space above a downtown grocery store and incorporate as the Hudson Overall Company... 1904
The business builds its first factory on the corner of South Elm Street and changes its name to Blue Bell Overall Company. Legend has it that a group of railroad workers who bought overalls at the Hudson store gave C.C. Hudson a bell, and after spending time in the factory, the bell – like everything else – became covered in blue denim dust, hence “Blue Bell”... 1919
Blue Bell launches Super Big Ben Overalls, made out of 100% Sanforized Fabric that reduces shrinkage after washing to less than 1%. This sets a new standard for the industry... 1936
Blue Bell acquires the Casey Jones Work-Clothes Company and the rights to a rarely used Casey Jones brand name: Wrangler... 1943
Blue Bell starts to develop a jeans line for cowboys, hiring famous tailor Rodeo Ben. Blue Bell workers take part in a contest to give the jeans a brand name. The winning name is Wrangler, synonymous with the name for a working cowboy. Wrangler is born... 1946
After designing and testing 13 pairs of prototype jeans, Blue Bell introduces the Wrangler 13MWZ to American consumers. A promo campaign is launched featuring 13MWZ test riders and rodeo legends Freckles Brown, Bill Linderman and Jim Shoulders. ... 1947
Wrangler jeans become an icon of youth culture, synonymous with teenagers the world over... 1973
1 in every 5 pairs of jeans sold in America is a Wrangler... 1996
WE LOVE WRANGLER XOXO

Introducing a new label to Swoon11... "TOI ET MOI"

Toi et Moi (pronounced twah et mwah - French for you and me) wasn't really planned - it almost feels like one day it didn't exist, and the next day, bang, there was a fully fledged label with a beating heart. In March 2009, I took pencil to sketch pad and by May 2009 the Summer 2009 collection was sampled and selling. The rest, as they say, is history.

With 9 year's of fashion bump and grind behind me (my first label was launched in 2001 with a loan from my grandfather) and a passion for design that grows with each collection I put together, Toi et Moi is all the things I love about fashion rolled into one. It's directional but wearable, it's versatile and is the perfect mix of cultures - Parisian Street Chic with a quintessential Aussie touch.

Toi et Moi? you ask. A few years ago a very special person came into my life that introduced me to all things Frenchie. The music, the food, the country and its people. Our visits to Paris with family and friends were filled with hours of drinking coffee and watching the world go by, and it's the effortless Parisian style that makes me want to design. If I feel like I need some inspiration I look back on my notes and sketches, or if I can, I go back to Paris and sit in the Marais or St Germain.

Each Toi et Moi collection has an element of French inspiration, whether it's a graphic or the way a few pieces are styled together, it's not a literal take on French style, it's my take on an Australian girl in Paris.
In one short year the brand has grown from a 3am idea to today, where Toi et Moi is sold in over 100 of Australia's leading boutiques and proudly sits next to other amazing Australian designer and street labels. As the story grows I will fill you in, but for now I'm enjoying each day as it comes, watching our amazing team of design, production, marketing and sales people bring life to Toi et Moi and can't help but smile as I see more and more girls wearing our creations.

Bisous
