SWOON11 = JACKETS

A jacket is a type of sleeved hip or waist-length garment. It is very similar to a coat, and in some instances either term can be used for the same article; but a jacket is generally shorter, ending just below the waist, and often lighter. Some jackets are fashionable, while others serve as protective clothing.

By wearing Ladakh’s ‘vintage rose’ jacket you will find your inner vintage filled with tea roses, macaroons, lace gloves and pearl necklaces. It’s the 1950’s women within.

The Anise ‘pink boyfriends’ jacket can go two ways. First it’s pink and preppy – a tailored plaid pant worn with a button up with dress shirt (borrowed from your boyfriend) and a patent black leather loafer. Second is to go pink and punk and break all the rules – wear a box pleat tartan skirt with a patterned legging and your patent pink Dr Marten. Think Marc Jacobs and hold your head high.

In love with Dolce & Gabbana

This season designers like Balmain, Yves Saint Laurent, and Dolce & Gabbana have decided that power dressing is back and so are the 80’s- style shoulder pads. Only this time around you can lose the “pads” they’re simply referred to as “shoulders”. We are simply in love with this one below…

SWOON11 = JACKETS

The Azuki biker jacket + Gucci biker boy = biker happiness, worn with a clashing red and white polka dot scarf.

Finding your inner “suit” when wearing the Living Doll tailored jacket. It will not be hard when its matched with a grey tailored suit pant, brown leather brogues and your satchel hung over your left shoulder. A look that screams, “I am ready for success!”

STRIKE A POSE- CLEMENCE POESY

Though the term "blazer" is often used as a synonym for "sport coat", a blazer or boating jacket specifically refers to a type of jacket, often double-breasted although single-breasted blazers have become more common recently. A blazer resembles a suit jacket except that it usually has patch pockets with no flaps, and metal shank buttons. A blazer's cloth is usually of a durable nature, as it is used in schools and was used for sport.

SWOON11 = JACKETS

Show your stripes with Ladakh’s nautical cropped trophy jacket. A statement piece - matched back with a Capri pant and white leather pump. You are channeling Balmian aw 09/10 – perfect on and off the runway!

The Living Doll embellished military cropped jacket has a more edgy feel with its grey acid wash fabric. Play on this and wear it with a black skinny jean, knee boots and a captain’s hat. AHOY to the new military.

TROPHY GIRL- JACKETS

It’s not the shoe or the bag holding the spotlight of late; it’s the jacket or the trophy jacket to be precise. It’s a statement-making piece impeccably tailored and slightly shortened. Be it a graphic patterned or more classically embellished detailing. It’s a new key wardrobe staple.

BYRON SWOON11 4 SOLES FOOTWEAR "BASQUIAT BOOT"

Jean-Michel Basquiat (December 22, 1960 – August 12, 1988) was an American artist and is cited by Graham Thompson as the first painter of African descent to become an international art star. He started as a graffiti writer in New York City, and in the 1980s produced Neo-expressionist painting. Neo- expression developed as a reaction against the conceptual and minimalistic art of the 1970s. Neo-expressionists returned to portraying recognizable objects, such as the human body (although sometimes in an abstract manner), in a rough and violently emotional way using vivid and banal colour harmonies.

SOLES FOOTWEAR "COCONUT BROGUE" IN "CHERRY SLICK"

“Bonjour”….. No its not a 1930’s “Brassaï brogue” in Paris photo, but I must say I can only dream that I am living the Parisian life in my cherry red brogues (which matches my cherry red lipstick) worn with my opaque black tights, a blue and red striped tulle skirt that sits so cleverly at my knees. With my white ruffled oversized sleeved button up shirt tucked neatly into the many layers of tulle, and my felt bowler hat sits proudly on my blonde bob. I am happily smiling under the Eiffle tower and it’s all because of my cherry red brogues.

Gyula Halász went by the name "Brassaï," which means "from Brasso." As Brassaï, he captured the essence of Paris in his photographs, publishing his first book of photographs in 1933 titled "Paris de nuit" ("Paris by Night"). Brassaï wrote that photography allowed him to seize the Paris night and the beauty of the streets and gardens, in rain and mist. His efforts met with great success, resulting in his being called "the eye of Paris" in an essay by his friend Henry Miller.

CALLIN 4 YOUR INNER PUNK

Explore your inner punk with your Soles studded rock black ankle boot. Take your skinny acid wash jeans that you’ve totally DIY by cutting and tearing up the knees. Add your oversized white band tee that has the slogan “Never mind the Bollocks” (one and only prized possession that you nicked from your older brother’s wardrobe, but its ok because he knows you missed out on one amazing era known as the 70’s). The decision now is between your denim vest that has all your collectables attached to the front (your favorite being the iron on patch with the slogan “I love the 70’s”) it’s cheesy but you love it anyway, or your vintage leather biker jacket, which you almost never leave home without. Tough call but you go the vest. You know you don’t want to distract from your black studded rock ankle boots because you know their the star of your outfit. You end your outfit off with an arm full of chains, because more bling is better than less in the situation. And BAM you have found your inner punk!

English punk rock band The Sex Pistols formed in London in 1975. They were responsible for initiating the punk movement both in the United Kingdom and worldwide. Their anarchistic influence gave rise to many aspiring punk and alternative rock musicians, artists and fashion designers of the world.
